Know when your emails are opened with Cloze CRM
Cloze can tell you when someone opens an email you sent or clicks on any email link. When you are building relationships, every second counts — Cloze will notify you the second a recipient opens your email or clicks on a link. With Cloze you have the option to track opens and link clicks for email sent from within the app — so you’ll know exactly when someone opens your message. Best of all, email open tracking works on both web and mobile for every email service you connect to Cloze.
Email open and link-click tracking is available in all premium plans: Cloze Pro, Cloze Business Silver, Cloze Business Gold, and Cloze Business Platinum.
Follow-up is easy
Simply swipe to the right to follow- up using a built-in template or select one of your own templates from the Cloze template library. You can also swipe to call.
How do I enable email open tracking in Cloze?
When you compose a new email or reply to an email within Cloze you can tap on the Track opens icon and Cloze will alert you when a recipient opens an email you sent or clicks on any link in the email.
Email open tracking is enabled by default in Cloze. The filled bell icon indicates that open tracking is enabled. Simply send your email with Cloze and then you’ll be notified with the email is opened by the recipient.
Where will I see my email open notifications?
As soon as your recipients open your email or click on any links, you can see the tracking details directly in Cloze on the Agenda. Cloze will also notify you with a push notification to your mobile devices and browser running Cloze. With the Cloze mobile apps installed you’ll see the notifications on your lock screen on iPhone or Android Phone.
You will see email open notifications in several places within Cloze when a recipient opens your email or clicks on any link included in the body of your email.
- Immediate Notification – You’ll receive an immediate push notification on your mobile device or in the web browser when a recipient opens your email or clicks on a link.
- Agenda – On the Agenda in the Today and Follow-up section you’ll see a summary of your email open and link click notifications.
- At the bottom of the email message – a history of open and link click notifications is also included at the bottom of the original message.
- In Sent – In the Sent section of Cloze.
On the Agenda
Your most recent open and link click notifications that have happened today will appear in the Today section of the Agenda under the heading “Opened Mail”.
The Agenda is dynamic so a new email open notification will result in the Opened Mail section moving to the top position in your Agenda. If something else on your Agenda is due in the near future you may need to scroll down to the Open Mailed section.
Notifications from previous days will appear in the Follow Up section of the Agenda.
You can tap on your sent message and scroll to the bottom to see a section called Open Tracking with a complete history of notifications.
On your phone as a push notification
Cloze will send you a push notification when your email is opened or a link in the body of the email is clicked.

You can tap on your sent message and scroll to the bottom to see a block called Open Tracking with a complete history of notifications.
Cloze can tell you whether they opened it on a desktop or mobile and where they were when they opened it.
In the Sent section of Cloze
You can tap on More and select Sent to see your sent emails. The double checkmark indicates the message has been opened or a link clicked at least once. The green number indicates the number of times the email has been opened or a link clicked.
What email services can I use?
Because it is not a Chrome extension or add-on it works with Office 365, Exchange, Gmail, G Suite, iCloud, Yahoo Mail, and any other service you connect.
You can connect as many email accounts to Cloze as you would like.
How does email open tracking Work?
When you send an email through Cloze with open tracking on, we embed a small invisible graphic at the bottom of your HTML email. This is the same technology that many marketing email and newsletter providers use to track open rates. Cloze also uses this approach for your personal communications. Open tracking is available on Cloze for iPhone, iPad, Android, and web.
The open tracker graphic is unique to each email you send through Cloze. When the recipient opens your email the tracking graphic is downloaded from Cloze’s servers — we’ll notify you on your phone, tablet, and/or through your web browser. You can also tap on the Agenda page to see your history of notifications.
How does click tracking work?
In Cloze we also automatically track if a recipient clicks on any link embedded in the email you send via Cloze.
When “track opens” is enabled, Cloze tracking information is added to each web URL address in your email. The recipient will not notice that the link has the additional tracking information. When a tracked link is clicked in your email, this tracking information quickly redirects the person that clicked through Cloze’s servers before sending them to the intended website URL – the process is seamless to the recipient. The redirect through our server logs the click and will trigger the notification back to you. Each URL in your email is tracked separately so you know precisely what they click on.
